The Quiet

- Tuesday, June 17th -
My predictions about my body being upset were completely correct. I had so much trouble waking up the morning after goth night and I think Renny might have even had it worse. I felt so bad for her since not only did she not get enough sleep, she had to go directly to two hours of extremely intense exercise classes. I really don't know how she's able to pull off such feats.

As for me, I had a little bit of help when it came to getting through that first rough spot in the day. Lately, I have cut a lot of caffeine out of my life in the attempt to become healthier, but I decided that in order to survive the day, I would need a little boost. Therefore, I went over to the gas station next to Renny's apartment and got myself a little breakfast.

However, I drastically underestimated just how much of an effect that having a couple of Monsters on an empty stomach would have. After only one can, I was buzzed off my tits. I honestly feel sorry to anyone that had to talk to me during that time. Fortunately though, I spent most of that time in Andrea's office, working on my website.

I finally came down off of my caffeine high and worked the rest of the day as a fully functional, normal human being, being frustrated by clients at every turn.

After work, I went back home to Renny who convinced me that it would be a good idea to put off grocery shopping until the next day and just relax. Having such a frustrating day, I wasn't in any position to argue. So we sat down and made ourselves a large dinner which consisted of a delicious salad with Italian dressing, spaghetti with an organic garlic roasted garlic tomato sauce, and gas station garlic bread. It was absolutely wonderful.

While we ate, we watched a couple of romantic comedies and curled up on the couch. After dinner was eaten, we pulled out some prepackaged chocolate chip cookie dough and made cookies. Not too many cookies actually made it to being baked though since between Renny and I, we ate half the cookie dough log. You know, I wonder what it would be like to bake an entire log without rolling it out at all. I bet it would look pretty cool.

So yeah, our evening was pretty low-key and uneventful, but that is precisely what made it relaxing and wonderful.
